Miley Cyrus tweets joke in wake of faux pregnancy story

Miley Cyrus took to Twitter on Monday, joking about the rumor that she is pregnant with Juicy J’s baby. The thing is, it should have been obvious that the rumor was faux: It first appeared on the satire site Cream BMP Daily.

In her first tweet, Cyrus posted:
waking up to the news that I'm now pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby
She followed that up with another tweet, which said:
Me: "did you know I'm pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby this morning" @CheyneThomas : "what are you gonna name it?" Me: "Juicy J Jr DUH"
To be clear, therefore, the "Wrecking Ball" singer and pop superstar was saying, "Are you kidding me?"

Considering the original story's placement on Cream BMP Daily, it's surprising that it had legs. However, it did.

Cyrus may move fast, but not that fast, apparently. She and Liam Hemsworth recently went public with their split, and he has already moved on.

Cyrus collaborated with producer Mike Will Made-It, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa in the recent homage to Michael Jordan, "23." Collaboration didn't extend to unsafe sex in with Juicy J, apparently.

Lindsay Lohan's parents banned from the set of actress' reality docuseries

Although sources say that cameras captured Michael Lohan and his daughter Lindsay on three days earlier, producers have decided that both Michael and Dina Lohan are persona non grata on Lindsay's upcoming OWN reality TV show, TMZ said on Monday. It's unclear if the footage will be aired.

According to the report, the show's producers struggled for some time with the direction of the show, and decided to stick with the format that Lindsay Lohan originally agreed to, which is her "comeback and recovery." The comeback, of course, remains to be seen.

Producers are not fond of the drama that surrounds the family and its antics. They called the relationship between Lohan and her parents the "Lohan family circus."

The docuseries will air on Oprah Winfrey's network, OWN, next year. Production on the series began shortly after Lohan completed her 90-day court-ordered rehab stay.

IMAX made sure 'Gravity' created the 'most realistic space experience'

On Friday, IMAX released, via its imaxmovies channel, a new "Behind the Frame for Gravity in IMAX 3D" video. The video is embedded, and the blurb at Youtube says:
In this IMAX Behind the Frame, director Alfonso Cuarón and NASA astronauts discuss the intense and raw cinematic experience of Gravity and the preparation that went into delivering a true-to-life space exploration.
In a press release, Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón said:
We wanted it to be an immersive experience, as if you’re sitting in the theatre but you feel as if you’re floating in space. There’s no other format as immersive as IMAX.
The movie stars George Clooney as astronaut Matt Kowalsky and Sandra Bullock as Dr. Ryan Stone. It combines both beauty and terror. The pair are space station astronauts, and the beauty is obvious, when one looks at the view of the Earth below.

However, terror occurs when Kowalsky and Ryan see their space station torn apart by some unknown accident. The film shows us none of the horror that must come, as Stone and Kowalsky fight to live.

The press release described the movie as follows:
Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) in command. But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left.

But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
Stranded in space as the stars are, the film is somewhat remiscent of "Open Water" (2003). It also reminds us of the 1969 film "Marooned."

"Gravity" is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 4 in 2-D, 3D, and 3D IMAX.

Miley Cyrus admits marital problems as far back as February

There was little surprise exhibited by anyone when Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced their split earlier this month, but it seems that they were "done" long, long ago. In the October issue of Fashion, the now-single pop star said (via E Online) that that a new song, "Drive," is about the the problems the couple faced earlier this year -- and that was penned back in February.

Cyrus said:
I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day—emotionally it was such a hard time. It is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It's a time when you want to leave but you can't. It's also about moving on.
"Drive" is one of the songs from Cyrus' upcoming new album, "Bangerz," which can be pre-ordered here. The album hits retail on Oct. 8.

The couple met on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009 and became engaged in June of last year. Hemsworth gave Cyrus a 3 1/2-carat diamond engagement ring, which reportedly he has said she can keep.

Recently, Cyrus released a racy new video for another song, "Wrecking Ball," another song which will appear on her "Bangerz" album. The video was released shortly before she and Hemsworth announced their break-up.

Desperate seeking curves: Miley Cyrus rumored to want breast implants

Some folks have called her a boob before, and this rumor probably won't dispel that opinion. The latest Miley-centric rumor is that pop star Miley Cyrus is jonesing for a boob job, the Daily Star said on Thursday.

Despite her choice earlier this year atop Maxim's Hot 100, one thing that cannot be said about the singer is that she is well-endowed. With that, a pair of breast implants appear in the offing.

According to the report,
Miley thinks new boobs will make her look more womanly and help her get taken more seriously.
Others, such as the editor of Vogue, Anna Wintour, would say that if the woman formerly known as Hannah Montana wants to be taken seriously, she should tone down her behavior.

Cyrus had been slated to be on the December 2013 cover of Vogue, but was dropped after her VMAs performance. One source said:
Anna found the whole thing distasteful. She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction.
She doesn't want just larger breasts though. She wishes she had curves, perhaps a la Scarlett Johansson. The source added:
She’s desperate for curves. She reads what people say about her online and the Wrecking Ball video has led to comments that she looks like a young boy. Some people have been trying to talk her out of the surgery, but she won’t hear of it.

'Ax Men' copter pilot killed in 'freak accident'

A helicopter pilot featured in the reality TV series "Ax Men" has been killed in what is described as a "freak helicopter accident," TMZ reported on Wednesday.

"Ax Men" is a History Channel series. William Bart Colantuono appeared on season three of the show.

The History Channel's blurb on his says:
Bart Colantuono just joined R&R Aviation as their senior helicopter pilot. With more than 15,000 flying hours under his belt, Bart will be a key factor in getting R&R back to the place it was nine months ago–making money logging. Bart will also determine the fate of junior pilot Steve Smith’s future with R&R. Smith’s hard landing forced the company to shut down last December and now owner Ryan Conner has asked Bart to fly with him and decide if he has what it takes.

Bart is a smart pilot who isn’t afraid to take risks. He’s been flying for long time and views helicopter logging as a competitive sport. He competes against himself, against the machine and against the weather. At the end of each day, the amount of logs left up on the landing tells him if he’s won or lost. Bart has a lot riding on is shoulders, and he believes he’s ready for the challenge.
It is, as yet, unclear what happened.

Witnesses told the authorities that Colantuono released his logs before the accident, indicating he was aware of a problem. Witnesses added that they also saw a rotor separate from the chopper before it flipped and crashed, upside down.

It is unclear if they were referring to the tail rotor or the main rotor blade.

Post engagement break-up announcement, Liam Hemsworth seen out with another woman

Is it really a surprise, after months of rumors and allegations of dalliances? Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement, the couple announced on Monday. Just hours after the official announcement, Hemsworth was already out on the town with another woman (via TMZ).

However, it wasn't what you might think. Hemsworth went out, not with the objected of an alleged dalliance, January Jones, but instead with his mother, Leonie Hemsworth.

While earlier in the day the couple's reps announced the nearly four-year-long relationship was over, the announcements offered few details. However, sources said that the break-up was "Miley's decision, after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her."

Over the weekend, there seemed to be turmoil in the offing, as Cyrus unfollowed Hemsworth on the microblogging site, Twitter.

It appears that Hemsworth has already moved on. On Saturday night, Hemsworth was seen in Las Vegas attending the Floyd Mayweather Jr. / Canelo Alvarez fight. Afterward, the "Hunger Games" star was spotted getting cozy to a beautiful blonde at the XS nightclub. That blonde was later identified as Mexican singer-actress Eiza Gonzalez.

Warner, J.K. Rowling to team on original film series based on 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'

Think Warner Bros. was happy with the box office performance of the "Harry Potter" film series? Apparently so, as on Thursday (via Rowling's Facebook page) the studio announced a new film series which will derive from author J.K. Rowling's world of fantasy, inspired by the Hogwart's textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and the adventures of the book's "author," Newt Scamander.

The announcement was made by Kevin Tsujihara, Chief Executive Officer, Warner Bros. Entertainment.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be an original story, and will mark Rowling's screenwriting debut. She said:
It all started when Warner Bros. came to me with the suggestion of turning 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' into a film. I thought it was a fun idea, but the idea of seeing Newt Scamander, the supposed author of "Fantastic Beasts," realized by another writer was difficult. Having lived for so long in my fictional universe, I feel very protective of it and I already knew a lot about Newt. As hard-core Harry Potter fans will know, I liked him so much that I even married his grandson, Rolf, to one of my favorite characters from the Harry Potter series, Luna Lovegood.

As I considered Warners’ proposal, an idea took shape that I couldn't dislodge. That is how I ended up pitching my own idea for a film to Warner Bros.

Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for seventeen years, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world. The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry's gets underway.

I particularly want to thank Kevin Tsujihara of Warner Bros. for his support in this project, which would not have happened without him. I always said that I would only revisit the wizarding world if I had an idea that I was really excited about and this is it.
Tsujihara added:
We are incredibly honored that Jo has chosen to partner with Warner Bros. on this exciting new exploration of the world of wizardry which has been tremendously successful across all of our businesses. She is an extraordinary writer, who ignited a reading revolution around the world, which then became an unprecedented film phenomenon. We know that audiences will be as excited as we are to see what her brilliant and boundless imagination conjures up for us.
A release date has not yet been mentioned.

Featurette takes a look at the world of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

On Wednesday, Marvel Studios, ABC, and Joss Whedon uploaded a featurette about the upcoming "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." series (via YouTube). In it, Joss Whedon, who will serve as an executive producer of the show and directed the pilot episode, gives his thoughts on the new series.

Whedon said:
S.H.I.E.L.D. is a show about the world of superheroes, as seen through the eyes of everyday people.
That is, of course, true. In the series, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents have not super-powers. That differs, naturally, from the comic book world, in which some agents are superheroes as well as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division in the Marvel cinematic universe.

The series is set after the epic battle in Manhattan which concluded "The Avengers" feature film. Whedon added,
This is a show that really could only exist in the Marvel universe.

Week after week, the stories will be big. But at the same time, it’s the intimacy that’s going to make great television.
The show is set to debut in about two weeks, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m.

Clark Gregg reprises his role as (thought dead) Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films. He (Avengers) assembles a small, select group of agents that include:
  • Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward
  • Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz
  • Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons
  • Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May
  • Chloe Bennet as Skye, a mysterious hacker
As far as Coulson's presumed death in "The Avengers" feature film, there will be an explanation for his resurrection, but it will be drawn out and secretive.

North American release plans for Mizayaki's finale, 'The Wind Rises,' revealed

Academy Award-winner Hayao Miyazaki's final film, "The Wind Rises," saw its North American premiere on Wednesday at the Toronto International Film Festival. At the same time, Walt Disney Studios and Studio Ghibli revealed their North American release plans for the film (via Coming Soon).

"The Wind Rises" will open with Academy Award qualification engagements in New York and Los Angeles from Nov. 8-14, 2013, in Japanese with English subtitles. Limited release, presumably dubbed, is scheduled for North American theaters on Feb. 21, 2014. Expanded released will take place on Feb. 28, 2014, under the Touchstone Pictures banner.

The film made its international debut at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month.

Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the film is based on the manga of the same name, which is in turn based on a short story by Tatsuo Hori. It is a fictionalized biography of Jiro Horikoshi who designed both the Mitsubishi A5M (which is featured in the movie) and its successor, the famed Mitsubishi A6M Zero.

In the film, Jiro is inspired by the famed Italian aeronautical designer Caproni. While his poor vision prevents him from becoming a pilot, in a dream Caproni tells him that building planes is better than flying them, and Jiro eventually becomes an aircraft designer.

In the film's final scenes, a dream sequence, Jiro feels regret for his inventions, which were used by Japan in World War II, and the deaths they caused. Caproni, though, tells him his dreams were realized, nonetheless.

A trailer from the Toronto International Film Festival is embedded.

Security footage seems to back up George Zimmerman punching incident report

Security footage seems to back up the story of George Zimmerman's father-in-law. TMZ reported on Wednesday of an incident in which Trayvon Martin's shooter allegedly punched his estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman's father in the face.

The footage was captured on a home security system moments after the alleged fisticuffs took place at the Florida rental home where George and Shellie Zimmerman had previously been living. It backs up Shellie's 911 call, in which she told an operator that George used a pocket knife on her father's iPad and then smashed it.

Although the video is too poor to make out a pocket knife, it is clear that George is working on the device somehow. It's also clear that he does throw it to the ground.

Moments later, Shellie Zimmerman recovered the iPad.

While you can't actually make out a pocket knife in the footage, it's obvious George is finagling with the device ... before he tosses it on the ground.

Shellie recovers the iPad moments later.

In addition to that footage, on Wednesday Lake Mary police released dashcam footage showing police detaining and handcuffing George Zimmerman.

It's a scene right out of "C.O.P.S."

'Jurassic Park IV' renamed, rescheduled, and 'pitched' via video

"Jurassic Park IV" has a new title and a new release date. On Wednesday, Universal announced (via Coming Soon) that "Jurassic Park IV" was now "Jurassic World."

The film joins "Jurassic Park III" as the second movie in the series that is not based on a book by Michael Crichton. Like "III," "Jurassic World" will not be directed by Steven Spielberg, but he will produce. Colin Trevorrow will direct the film.

The film's release date is now June 12, 2015. Earlier, it had a June 13, 2014 release date.

A short presumed "pitch trailer" is embedded below. According to the YouTube post:
All I can say is this video was shown as part of Iain McCaig's presentation at the recent Star Wars convention in Germany (he's the fantastic concept artist and designer of Darth Maul). I can only presume it was part of a pitch for reigniting the JP movie franchise, if anyone can confirm please let me know. It was apparently shown to Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg. Mr McCaig actually said "it certainly got Steven interested in dinosaurs again..." I just think is so cool.
However, to be clear, the video does not include footage that will appear in the final film.

Miley Cyrus shows naked emotion, goes nude in 'Wrecking Ball' music video

Never let it be said that Miley Cyrus worried about what anyone else thought of her antics. One day after it was announced that Vogue had dropped her from their December 2013 cover, Cyrus on Monday released (via YouTube, embedded) the racy new video for "Wrecking Ball," which is the second single from her upcoming "Bangerz" album.

To be honest, viewers might have been "seduced" into thinking she had returned to softer ways, as the video began with a close-up of her face with a tear streaming from her right eye. That's only until Cyrus returns to her provocative self, wearing a cut-off white tank top and panties with maroon-laced boots and holding a sledgehammer.

She even goes so far as to lick the end of said sledgehammer in an obviously erotic way. She is nude in the video, although viewers would be hard-pressed to discover -- er, nipple or otherwise uncoverage.

With regard to the Vogue cover, Vogue editor Anna Wintour was taken aback by Cyrus' VMAs performance. One source said:
Anna found the whole thing distasteful. She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction.
Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video was directed by fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

Jack Nicholson not retiring, rumors false: Maria Shriver

Rumors that three-time Academy Award winner Jack Nicholson has retired set the Internet on fire on Wednesday, but on Thursday calm seemed to reach the Web, as the rumors were deflated by NBC's Maria Shriver, speaking to E Online.

The retirement rumor surface on Radar Online. The site, citing an anonymous source, said:
Jack has -- without fanfare -- retired. There is a simple reason behind his decision -- it’s memory loss. Quite frankly, at 76, Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him.
Shriver, however, confirmed that not only were reports that Nicholson was retiring from acting due to memory loss -- or dementia -- 100 percent false, the "Terms of Endearment" has no current plans to retire.

Fears that Nicholson may be retiring might have been fueled by his recent hiatus from film: His most recent work was the 2010 film "How Do You Know," and his IMDb page does not cite any projects currently in development.

Nicholson himself has not addressed the rumors.

Two ex-George Clooney girlfriends rock bikinis in their own fashion

Earlier this week, a pair of George Clooney ex-girlfriends showed off their bodies in skimpy outfits. First off, Stacy Keibler posted the above image on Instagram on Monday.

Keibler appeared at the Burning Man festival -- along with about 61,000 others -- in Black Rock Desert, Nev., on Monday. This year's festival, which wrapped up on Labor Day, featured a "Cargo-Cult" theme which reportedly celebrated the "mythical arrival of an alien visitor."

Keibler, 33, hit the festival with her rumored new boyfriend, Jared Pobre. In her Instagram post, she said: "#BurningMan #Lifechanging," as she posed to mimic the statue shown behind her. Keibler and Clooney split in July.

Meanwhile, also on Monday, Elisabetta Canalis, who split from Clooney in 2011, soaked up the sun in a tiny bikini that exposed some impressive abs while in Italy.

Earlier in the day, according to the photo agency that secured the snapshots, the 34-year-old went shopping with her mother in the area.

NASCAR driver slapped by rival driver's girlfriend after accident

It looks like racing has become a slap-happy affair. Moments after completing an interview in which he blamed fellow Camping World Truck Series driver Mike Skeen for a crash, Max Papis was slapped in the face by Skeen's girlfriend, Kelly Heaphy. The incident, which took place on Sunday, can be seen in the video below, provided by The Daily Mail. In the interview, Papis said:
The six car [driven by Mr Skeen], I knew was going to do something, you know, not really sportsmanship, because that's what he did before... it was just an amateur move.
Papis later tweeted that the slap dislocated his jaw. Still later, though, he clarified that since English is not his first language, what he meant was that his jaw was "moved around and sprained." Ironically, Papis himself slapped another driver earlier this year, but in that case, his victim, Billy Johnson, still had his helmet on. That slap also came after an accident. At the time, Johnson accepted fault for the accident, but said:
I guess he (Papis) was living up to his name, "Mad Max."

RPatz was first choice for Christian Grey, but Charlie Hunnam wins the role

Who has been answered: The stars for the upcoming "50 Shades of Grey" film are to be "Pacifie Rim" star Charlie Hunnam, 33, and Dakota Johnson ("Ben and Kate"), 23, and author E.L. James tweeted on Monday.

Johnson is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. She will play Anastasia Steele, and Hunnam will play Christian Grey. As Wikipedia says, the novel turned film:
[...] is the first installment in the Fifty Shades trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM).
The two tweets were as follows:
The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. [...]

I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Gorgeous, talented, and lovely are how James described the pair. The question is, can they pull off being erotic? And, how will their respective significant others feel about it?

Meanwhile, according to Bret Easton Ellis, Hunnam was not the first choice for Grey. He tweeted that Robert Pattinson ("The Twilight Saga") was James' first choice. He added that claims Matt Bomer and Ian Somerhalder were never in the running, despite rumors that both were in the mix.

The novels became a blockbuster hit for James. The film is scheduled for an Aug. 1, 2014 release.
