Shades of the 2008 Britney Spears. Amanda Bynes has been hospitalized on a 5150 hold after starting a small fire in the driveway of a seemingly random person's house on Monday night.

A 5150 hold, according to Wikipedia, is as follows:
Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code (specifically, the Lanterman–Petris–Short Act or "LPS") which allows a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to him- or herself, and/or others and/or gravely disabled.

A qualified officer, which includes any California peace officer, as well as any specifically designated county clinician, can request the confinement after signing a written declaration. When used as a term, 5150 (pronounced "fifty-one-fifty") can informally refer to the person being confined or to the declaration itself, or colloquially as a verb}, as in 'Someone was 5150'd'.
The fire department responded to a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., at around 9 p.m. Monday night. The home was near a retirement facility where Bynes was confronted by police on Sunday night, accused of trespassing. According to that report, facility staff felt Bynes was also intoxicated.

In Monday's incident, someone noticed a small blaze that had been set in a home's driveway. The sheriff's department was called when Bynes was found standing near the fire.

When the authorities arrived, they asked Bynes about her actions, and based on her answers, determined she needed to be hospitalized on a 5150 hold.

Captain Don Aguilar of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department told the New York Daily News:
Deputies investigated the incident and determined that [Bynes] met the criteria of 5150.
The owner of the home told TMZ that she does not know Bynes. She was also asked if she knew any reason that Bynes would have a vendetta against her. As an elderly woman, her answer was the expected "No."

Britney Spears was famously subjected to a 5150 hold in 2008 during her pre-conservatorship period.
