Emma Roberts, Evan Peters issue statement on domestic violence arrest report

Actress Emma Roberts and her boyfriend, Evan Peters were forced to issue a statement on Wednesday after reports of a domestic violence arrest arose on Tuesday. TMZ originally reported that Roberts, 22, daughter of Eric and niece of Academy Award-winning actress Julia, was arrested on July 7 after bloodying Peters' nose.

Reportedly, police arrived at the couple's room after someone called them to report a fight in a hotel room. When authorities arrived, they discovered that Peters had a bloody nose and, supposedly, a bite mark. Roberts was immediately arrested because Peters had obvious injuries.

Sources close to her, however, denied that she bit him. She was later released after Peters refused to press charges.

It's unclear what truly happened to cause Roberts to hit Peters. However, on Monday, the couple released a statement that said:
It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.
The couple was last seen together in public prior to the events in Montreal, at the "The Lone Ranger" premiere on June 22.

They'd better move past it though, as they are indeed working together. Peters has been a star on the TV show "American Horror Story" during its first two seasons. Roberts is joining the series for season three.
