She was also wearing an Alvin Ailey black dance T-shirt, black sweatpants and black high-tops.
It was a short, two-minute long court appearance. The judge continued the case, with Bynes not scheduled to re-appear in court until Sept. 26. Her lawyers, however, have a deadline of Aug. 26 to file a motion with the court.
The once-child star has been charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana in a May 23 incident. Then, officers responded to a call reporting Bynes allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her Midtown apartment building.
While she was no longer in the lobby when police arrived, they went to her apartment, where they allegedly witnessed her throw a bong out of her window.
Despite her court dates, Bynes has been spending a lot of time on Twitter. On Monday, she tweeted that U.S. President Barack Obama was "ugly," as was the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
It was just the latest in a long line of "You're ugly" tweets by the actress, who sometimes -- as with the Obamas -- just says someone is ugly, and other times says tweets someone is ugly as a side-note in an angry post.
