A season four debut date at last: 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'

Bronies rejoice. The long-awaited return date of "My Little Pony: Frendship is Magic" has been set, it was announced on Thursday.

The series, which centers around Twilight Sparkle, an alicorn who lives, along with her friends Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy, in the city of Ponyville in the land of Equestria, will return with season four on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Equestria is inhabited by more than just the unicorns, ponies, and pegasus ponies that are the central characters. There are dragons, timberwolves, villains such as Discord, and more.

Bronies, for those who are not bronies, are adult fans of the cartoon.

At last weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, fans learned about some of the things that they can look forward to in the coming season. There will, for example, be an episode featuring Rarity, and a musical one in which Pinkie Pie finds that there is “somepony (that) will give her a run for her party planning money.” Pinkie Pie's sister will also visit Ponyville.

Naturally, there will be fallout from last season's climactic finale, in which Twilight Sparkle became a princess and was turned into an alicorn -- a winged unicorn.

Although there is no official season four video available, fans of the series have uploaded videos from the Comic-Con 2013 presentation (embedded).
