The secrets of Piers Morgan's interview of Alex Jones: Conan

Conan O'Brien, or rather, as he likes to call them, Team Coco, took to the airwaves on Tuesday night to fill in his viewers on parts of the Alex Jones interview on "Piers Morgan Tonight" that CNN viewers didn't see.

Jones, of, is far right, a gun lover, and known to be a conspiracy theorist. When he appeared on Monday Night, he ranted at Morgan, going to far as to say the British journalist would reignite the Revolutionary War if he tried to take American’s guns away.

The fact Alex Jones was holding and firing a loaded pistol -- for emphasis -- somehow didn’t make it into most newscasts. However, it can be seen in the embedded video. O'Brien then said that:
I think Piers handled it ... he was very calm.
In other words, Morgan was cool “under fire.”

While failing to explain why anyone needs an assault rifle, Jones did address his 9/11 conspiracy theories, saying:
Hitler firebombed his own Reichstag, Piers, to bring in marshal law in Germany. Governments have staged or allowed terrorist attacks as a pretext to invade and enslave the populations.
What is interesting, of course, is that 9/11 occurred during a Republican administration.

Morgan had hoped to talk to Jones about the petition he had started on the White House "We the People" site to get Morgan deported. Instead Jones spoke of the above, along with the “suicide mass murder pills” such as Prozac that were being distributed to Americans and how "rampaging hordes were burning down cities in the gunless United Kingdom."

Jones finally explained his petition as the interview closed:
It’s to point out you’re a foreigner, a redcoat, here telling us what to do.
