Lindsay Lohan leaves more than $500,000 on the table, turns down 'Dancing with the Stars'

Lindsay Lohan is in need of cash -- she's seen her bank accounts seized by the IRS, can't make her rent, and even tried to sell her used clothes. Despite that, a Tuesday report says the troubled actress has turned down an extremely lucrative offer to be on "Dancing with the Stars."

According to the report, she turned down a $550,000 offer to join ABC's hit reality TV show. The producers even made her several offers, and that was the maximum -- thus far.

Reportedly, it's because she doesn't want to do reality TV. Sources say that Lohan, who still owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in back income taxes, told her friends she'd never consider doing reality TV, because she wants to stick to movies.

However, as noted in the report, after "The Canyons" fiasco -- widely reported, including a detailed New York Times expose -- she is basically unhireable.

It doesn't help that she's also been hammered for her behavior on the set of "Scary Movie 5."

While sticking to films -- perhaps because she considers reality TV a comedown -- there could be other reasons, as well. Lohan would be required to practice dancing, and show up on time, too. Based on the Times report, that might be difficult, if not impossible for her.

Lohan is the second celebrity that recently turned down "DWTS." Ann Romney did so, as well.
