Hayden Panettiere wrecks car after running red light

She hasn't been accused of being the next Lindsay Lohan yet, but Hayden Panettiere has been involved in her own car crash, and in a report issued Saturday, there's some law-breaking involved.

The report goes on to cite the accident Panettiere was involved in: it was a BMW vs. Geo Prism car crash in Tennessee in mid-November. Reports didn't reach the media, and thus hit the news, until Saturday, however. It should be obvious who was driving the BMW.

The crash occurred on Nov. 14th in Nashville, where Panettiere films her television show "Nashville." The crash report indicates that although Panettiere did break the law, the other driver made a serious mistake as well, which could ameliorate the issue.

Panettiere was driving in the right lane through an intersection. The only problem with this is that in order to cross the intersection, Panettiere had to do so by running a red light. Meanwhile, however, the other driver made a left turn, but instead of turning into the proper lane, he turned into Panettiere's lane.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. Aside from running the red light, it doesn't appear Panettiere broke any other laws. This is unlike the Lindsay Lohan Pacific Coast Highway auto wreck, in which Lohan lied to law enforcement officials, saying she was not driving her car.

That incident may end up with Lohan back in jail again: she has been charged with three misdemeanor counts in the case, which should trigger a revocation of her probably in her 2011 jewelry theft case.

Neither, it appears, does it appear that any alcohol was involved in Panettiere's case, unlike the latest Lohan incident, a club fight in New York City.

In addition, we know that Panettiere is a good neighbor: her insurance company is State Farm.
