As Barack Obama ventures into Iraq and Europe this week, John McCain continues to harp on his "lack of experience," particularly in terms of foreign policy. However, perhaps we need to focus on McCain's lack of memory. Just last week McCain spoke of Czechoslovakia, a country that hasn't existed since 1993. Today, on Good Morning, America, when asked by Diane Sawyer, McCain spoke of the situation in Afghanistan.
"It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid that it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border."The situation on such a border is difficult, particularly when such a border does not exist. Nope, there is no border between Iraq and Pakistan.
Yes, he probably just misspoke, but you know he and his followers have to be watching for any such error by Obama during his trip, so it's especially humorous.
